Chad Johnson vs. Brian Maxwell live fight updates, results, highlights from Ochocinco’s boxing debut

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is set to throw his first punches in the boxing ring.

Johnson will be making his boxing debut — and likely fighting in the only match of his career — when he faces bare-knuckle boxer Brian Maxwell on Sunday.

While Johnson has the more recognized name, Maxwell is the more experienced fighter. Maxwell has gone 2-3 in MMA fights and went 0-3 in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship matches.

But Johnson has been working to get himself in shape for this fight. Along with boxing during football offseasons, Johnson has been training with Jermell and Jermall Charlo, twin brothers who are a combined 65-1 in professional boxing, and has adopted a new diet to prepare for the bout.
