Hard to trust David Peterson

Posted on

A little help? After finishing the NFL season 40 games over .500 and winning two of the three Triple Crown races, we continue to struggle with our MLB picks. Thought a temporary switch to horse racing would be helpful, but pony picker Vic Cangiapelosi said his readers would go into “insurrection mode” if that occurred.

With no one playing well, the Mets have inherited the lead in the NL Least. We backed David Peterson (1-4, 5.89 ERA) twice and he has made us regret our decision. Peterson has been lit up for 11 runs in his past 11 innings. Was probably hoping for a John Rahm-like moment while coughing up five runs in a third of an inning in Arizona on June 2. Amazin’s are in Baltimore. Bruce Zimmermann (3-3, 4.96 ERA) picked up a W against the Twinkies last Tuesday and has limited opponents to three runs in his last 10 ¹/₃ innings. Play 20 units on the O’s … and 10 units on the Marlins. Pablo Lopez got pushed back a day. Liked him at Fenway. Like him more at home against the visiting Colorado Balboas who are 4-22 on the road.
