Marcos Llorente is in great spirits despite being forced out of the European Championship with a positive COVID-19 test.

The 26-year-old Spanish soccer star is enjoying time away from the team with girlfriend Patricia Noarbe. The couple showed off PDA at a beach in Mykonos in new photos Noarbe shared to Instagram over the weekend.

The fitness influencer, who goes by “Paddy” for short, was pictured topless while Llorente wrapped his arm around her. A second snap showed the midfielder lounging on top of the model as she read a book.

Llorente, a member of Atlético Madrid and the Spain national team, tested positive for the coronavirus last Tuesday, according to the Spanish Soccer Federation. He was reportedly placed in isolation following the diagnosis.

It’s unclear if Llorente’s romantic getaway conflicted with his quarantine period, or if he plans to rejoin the team. Players who test positive for COVID-19 are usually required stay in isolation for at least 10 days.

Though, Llorente appears to be enjoying his R&R with Noarbe.

“No one could imagine how special we are living,” she captioned her post, initially in Spanish, on Instagram.

Llorente and Noarbe are believed to have met sometime in 2017, and have been dating ever since.

Llorente is the second player to test positive on the Spanish Euro 2020 team.

Two days prior to his positive result, team captain Sergio Busquets was forced to leave the team’s training camp because he tested positive for COVID-19. Busquets was placed in isolation.

No other player Spanish player had tested positive, according to the Spanish Soccer Federation.

The Euros officially began last Friday, and conclude on July 11.

The COVID-stricken team will be face Slovakia on June 23 in Seville as its final Group E match.
