Novak Djokovic stormed back from dropping the first two sets to defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas in a riveting French Open final on Sunday, winning his second career title at Roland Garros.
Djokovic, 34, looked like he had run out of steam after a quick loss in the second set, but he persevered for a 6-7 (6-8), 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 win over the 22-year-old from Greece.
The win gives Djokovic 19 career Grand Slam titles, moving him to within one of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the most majors among men. Djokovic, who’s now won each of the four Grand Slams at least twice, defeated Nadal in the French Open semifinals.
