Orioles vs. Indians prediction: Take Baltimore rookie starter

NYC transit officials confirmed that their computer systems were hacked in April. Other than the upgrade in service, no one noticed a thing.

Rookie matchup in Baltimore. The Indians Jean Carlos Mejia (1-0, 0.00 ERA) will make his first MLB start. He’s earned it. Mejia has yet to give up a run and has allowed one hit over five total innings in his three relief appearances. The O’s Keegan Akin (0-0, 4.80 ERA) made his first start last Sunday and passed the test. Limited the heavy-hitting White Sox to one run over 4 ²/₃ innings. Orioles are the worst team in baseball, but they’ve won two in a row. While Mejia will have to wait to face a real MLB lineup (the O’s don’t have one), we will take the Orioles to win their third straight for 10 units.

Well, Patrick Corbin didn’t give up a first-inning homer this time. But Dansby Swanson took him deep in the sixth, capping a four-run inning. Bravos went on to swat the Nats, 5-1. Atlanta made a pitching change to Tucker Davidson, who tossed a one-hitter over 5 ²/₃. Loss has us at -1,429 bocabellas.
