Yankees vs. Phillies prediction: Bet on Vince Velasquez

Man, I really hope that Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova-Barbora Krejcikova French Open Final lives up to the hype.

The Yankees and Phillies can catch the final before they begin a two-game set in Philly. The first game, Saturday, should have the scorekeeper busy. Jameson Taillon (1-4, 5.09 ERA) throws for the Yanks. The former Pirate has been well, meh, since donning the pinstripes. He has allowed six runs over his past 10 innings, fanning eight. Meh. Vince Velasquez (2-1, 4.33 ERA) has been ineffective as well, pounded for nine runs over his past seven innings. Sounds like Pavlyuchenkova and Krejcikova couldn’t do any worse. Philly enters off a pair of improbable walk-off wins. Had them Thursday. Taking Philly again for 10 units.

Took a verbal pounding from friends and foes alike after betting against Jacob deGrom. They were right. Threw a one-hitter over six, knocked in two runs before exiting with “right flexor tendinitis.” Mets won 3-2. Loss takes us back to -1,396 kournikovas.
